My name is Maiah Johnson Dunn and I tell heart-forward stories about wine.
I’m a writer, educator, and entrepreneur from Boston who lives (and loves) in Rochester, New York.
In Canandaigua, NY, I oversee the beverage education programming at New York Kitchen, a wine and culinary center in the Finger Lakes region. My focus is creating a warm and inviting space for everyone to learn. This includes DEI Over Wine, a course I founded with my husband, Andy, and teach alongside my friend, Syd Bell. Together, we explore diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts in actionable conversations paired with real-world examples from the food and beverage industries.
My most recent writing centers on New York wines and can be found in Decanter Magazine, CITY Newspaper, and the 5th Edition of Jancis Robinson’s Oxford Companion to Wine.
Prior to wine, I enjoyed a 13-year career in event marketing for brands worldwide.
